I purchased one to try out, then bought a second one. They are very nice, heavy, bakeware that performs as advertised. They easily compete with Calphalon, Hoffritz, and Anolon bakeware, only 40% less expensive. The only caution, which seems true for all dark bakeware, is it cooks faster, so don't overcook.

Bake your favorite bran, blueberry, or poppy seed mini muffins with this KitchenAid muffin pan. Outfitted with 24 small cups that make a batch of bite-sized muffins, the pan is designed to cook its contents to the perfect consistency, giving them moist, flavorful insides and slightly crisp outsides. The pan is made of heavy-gauge carbon steel, a material valued for its quick and even heat distribution. The material is also notably tough, with shallow, rolled rims that help prevent warping. An additional feature that chefs are sure to appreciate is the patented double-coated SlideEase nonstick surface, which releases the muffins with barely a touch--no need to heavily butter or grease the cups. The nonstick coating it so sturdy that it even stands up against metal utensils. Unlike the many muffin pans that look solid but perform poorly, this KitchenAid pan is designed to exceed expectations.
