(More customer reviews)Hardly attractive, nearly impossible to use... the silicone whistle must be removed for pouring, but becomes hot and slick due to the (duh) hot water behind it. The handle has severe edges that making pouring even a single cup uncomfortable, and the dramatic curve of the handle makes holding it securely impossible. Lastly, the silicon AND finish began to peel after only a few uses. An awful, unfortunate design!

(More customer reviews)I purchased the first two KitchenAid Silicone Trivets at bedbathandbeyond for under $8. Rated at 500 degrees F max. They are excellent and provide a grippy surface on both sides, the (7X7) silicone rubber bumps grip a smooth counter top or a wood table top and also a slippery surface like a Le Creuset Enamelled Pot. They are 7 1/2 X 8 1/2 inches and work OK for up to 11 or 12 inch size Le Creuset pots, one can use 2 for rectangular baking dishes. The overall thickness (how much they space the pot above the counter) of the rigid core and the bumps on both sides is 1/4inch. I ordered some more from Amazon which were a slightly better price with the 4/3 deal, and also it saved me a trip.

Revere Copper Bottom Teakettle Review

When the time came for me to get a tea kettle, this was the one I looked for. I grew up with this one in the house, and it's just as great for my needs. Ok, being single, 3.5 quarts may be a bit bigger then I normally use, but I just add as much water as I need and set it on the stove. The water heats quickly. Steam sets off a whistle in the spout, and it can be heard with ease in any part of the house.
I looked at other Revere kettles, but found their handles and spout openers to be rather flimsy. Not so, here. This kettle will last for quite awhile.
As always, Revere has made a wonderful product. It's so easy, even this bachelor has no problem heating water.

(More customer reviews)So far so good, the scissors are pretty sharp and it is nice to be able to have handy for different purposes that said the quality is also up to the standard I expect from a Kitchen Aid product. I was under the impression the utility shears that come with the kit would be very sturdy to do any job, I didn't even try any more than regular household jobs when the rivet started getting loose and we couldn't tighten it up back again... I'm not an expert fixing scissors but have an idea on what to do to get it fixed. Bad luck maybe.

They easily compete with Calphalon, Hoffritz, and Anolon bakeware, only 40% less expensive. The only caution, which seems true for all dark bakeware, is it cooks faster, so don't overcook.

But save yourself the headache and double-check your model number before ordering, since different models have different shaped bowls or mounting brackets. Here's the information I received directly from KitchenAid customer support:
- this bowl #K5ASBP, is for 5 quart "Classic" mixers and fits models K5, KSM5, K5SS, and KP50PS
- bowl #KN25PBH fits models that start with KG (KitchenAid 5 Quart Polished Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl)
- bowl #KN25NSF fits models that start with KM (KitchenAid KN25NSF 5-Quart Stainless-Steel Commercial Mixing Bowl with Handle)
- bowl #KN15PBEH only fits the discontinued "Accolade" mixers that start with KN15E1X. (KitchenAid KN15PBEH 5-Qt Polished Bowl with Ergonomic Handle for Accolade 400 mixers)
- The service person said that bowl #KN25WPBH (KitchenAid 5qt Polished Stainless Steel Mixer Bowl with Flat Handle) is "incorrectly listed" on the KitchenAid website as a 5-quart bowl and that it is actually a 6-quart bowl for 6-quart mixers. I found a LOT of discrepancy regarding this when searching the internet, so I'd recommend you do a little more research or call KitchenAid at your time of purchase for confirmation.
